Anders Brundell, ”the relapse musician” and also the grandfather of the band, plays the pedal steel. He has had 20 years practice at it and he sounds great, although he’s a modest man and only thinks he’s “OK”. Anders started off as the guitarist of various pop bands during the late 50’s and early 60’s as most of the normally developed kids of that era were doing then, when we were first hit by the American rock wave, with Elvis, Bill Haley, Little Richard & Co. Then came the British pop wave with the Beatles, flower power and free love etc.

Anders says: “The musical interest of the most enthusiastic pupils survived even the tutoring of those days (unbelievable but true!) and most of us have started over again in our older days, now that the children have left the nest and we’re not getting disturbed by grandchildren, that either haven’t arrived yet or are spending their time with computers, instead of engines and music.”

Anders has a daytime job too (he claims he needs the money!) at Radio Dalarna. Otherwise he is like most people…

Anders plays on a 14-string Sierra E9/B6 Universal pedal steel through a Peavey Nashville 1000 and a Peavey Tubefex, so he doesn't suffer from effect shortage.
