Annica Östlund has her roots in the Swedish Mecka of Rockabilly – Enviken. From Rockabilly she moved on to listening to Heavy Metal and punk rock (!) After being the singer of various rock bands based in Borlänge, she has finally landed in the country music, which suits her voice perfectly. Oh yeah, her voice!!! It’s been compared to the voices of great stars, like Emmylou Harris and Nanci Griffith. Annica not only sings, but plays the guitar and writes our songs. Well, our own songs, that is! We are also proud to tell you that she has won the Swedish contest “Country Talent 2002”!! The winning of the contest led to the recording of 4 songs on a cd, that now is available in 500 copies. For her day job, Annica works as a traffic controller for the Swedish Railways. It’s her job to see to that the trains go where they’re supposed to go. A woman with power!!! Annica plays on an acoustic Furch guitar with B-Band microphones and uses strings from D’Addario.
